Tues Oct 19th- triangle day

We worked on our scissor skills then we went upstairs to play with Mr. Potato Head and big plastic blocks. I took each child aside to practice triangles during this time- they did a really great job.
Shiann was our star this week- she did a great job helping us. Her mom Annette actually created those bags with the elephants and eyes in them for the letter “E”- our letter of the week! Thanks for the extra fun details Annette! We practiced the sign and sounds of the letter “E”- we know that it says its name “E” like in eagle or Easter and “E” like in eggs, elephant or Ella. We met the letter friend- Ella Elephant and she likes to exercise so we did some exercising and stretching to get ready for the day. For snacks, we had elephant cookies- yummy!
For our triangle time, we talked about triangles and how many sides and angels that they have. I had each child work on their own white boards to draw a triangle for extra practice. We also decorated our triangle sheet with our triangle stamps and triangle foam stickers. They brought home a colored sheet of how a flag can be a triangle.
For the letter “E” time, we read our story about The Enormous Elephant show. We also practiced our sign & sound again. I made the girls and boys into triangles too- you see with the pictures- three girls and three boys made two triangles that were just adorable!
