Friday: #5 day- When we came in to class we practiced our letter “C” again and stamped on the back. Upstairs, I let each child pick out a color of play dough and we played with cookie cutters. We also played with blocks afterwards because they got bored. I had each child come over and I practiced the number 5 with them. Zach helped with circle time. We learned that there is only 9 days til Halloween! We did Spooky Loo for our wiggle song. After snack time, we come over and I read 5 little pumpkins book and then we sang it with the song a few times. Cinco is 5 in Spanish and we counted all the way up to 5- all the Spanish numbers we have learned. We also sang the numeral song- practicing our numbers in the air with the song. We finished the #5 practice sheet with coloring the right numbers certain colors. After that, we put 5 star buttons on a gingerbread man and gave a bird 5 worms. We had some book time as Miss Alisha got ready for “C” time. We practiced our “C” sounds a bit more since we were getting confused still. We finished the Callie Cat worksheet and we were done for the day and the week!
