Friday: We practiced printing the letter “L” and then went upstairs for play time with play food, puzzles and tinker toys. During this time, I pulled each child aside to work on the number 4. For snack time, we had lemonade, fruit leather and 4 graham crackers. We learned how to count to 4 (easy) in English and in Spanish. We also practiced printing our numbers in the air with our numeral song. We colored four petal flowers on our practice sheet. After that, we dot painted four spots on a giraffe and used our fingers to make 4 finger print ants going into an ant hole.
For “L” practice, we cut our 6 pictures of different things- 4 of them started with “L”. The students had to pick the “L” pictures out. Then we pasted Lenny on the page, we painted the lake blue and added the 4 “L” pictures to the lake. I tried to paint a bit early so they would dry BUT with the excess of paint used  that wasn’t the case.
We read a few poems about the number 4 and the letter “L”. We were finished with the day and the week!
