Wednesday Oct 6th- Opposites: stop & go

Wednesday we started with printing upside down U- like the shape of a rainbow. I will start working these pre-printing activities in to get us better prepared for name tracing and then printing. Upstairs, we played with puzzles and little legos. Have your child work with puzzles at home if they aren’t already doing so. It is great eye-hand coordination, fine motor practice, memory and problem solving skills. I love puzzles- they are great! I also measured to see how tall your child is getting- I do this each month to chart their growth on a monthly page we do. It will be in your child’s binder along with the art they made for the month.
For class time, we talked about the opposites: stop and go. I reminded them what an opposite is and we discussed stop and go. We made our own stop and go sign- red stands for stop and green for go. We did stop and go dancing. We also talked about the importance of these signs and how we need them to be safe.
For “F” time- we made a feather fan with our four “F” words on it. Sorry it was so flimsy
