At table time, we practiced with scissors and upstairs we played with transformers, littlest pet shop and barbies.
During this time, I took each child aside to practice the number 3. For circle time, Tyler was my star. I changed the board so that the colors and shapes are closer to the students to point to. We meet our letter friend- Farrah Fox who likes her fan. We learned the sign and sound to the letter “F”.
We had a busy day because we were going to the pumpkin patch on Thursday I wanted to finish our “F” sheet today.
During instruction time, I talked about the number three. We learned that three in Spanish is tres. We also sang the numeral song while making the numbers 1, 2, and 3 in the air. We will build on this song each time we learn another number. We saw our kitten poster and she had three leaves in her jar. For our 3 practice sheet, we put three footballs in our jars- to go along with our letter “F”. We also finished a 3 fire fighters worksheets. Each child colored it and cut the fire fighters out. This also tied into our letter of the week.
For our “F” practice, I helped each child trace the letter and then they colored their “F” sheet. We also read about Fifi’s flute and how her friends helped her find it!
