Thursday May 19th- shirts & invites to presentation
The class came upstairs to work on their names because we had shirts prepped downstairs for handprints. They worked on their names and then played with puzzles, Littlest Pet Shop and barbies. I was pulling students aside assessing their skills again for the end of the year. Kate helped us review our colors and then we went right into circle time. After that we wiggled, ate our snacks and sang Happy Birthday to Claire to celebrate her birthday. We had an extended snack and book time because the students were being pulled one by one to complete their names and handprints on their presentation shirts. I read a favorite book from each child as we waited and then Kate shared her show and tell. One of which were a book that I read to the class. I had set up the chairs so that we could work on our presentation- we counted, sang and practiced our nursery rhymes that each child was in charge of. I want to make sure that they know what we will be doing at our presentation with sitting, standing and how we act during the event.
After we practiced, we came to the table to complete our family’s invitations for our year end presentation. I hope that you found that in your child’s folder. Once we completed that, I talked to the kids about what we will be doing on our last class and then we were done for the day!
