Name practice- first and last names was our first goal of the day. We are doing a great job on our first names so we are starting with our last names now. Upstairs we played with our wooden blocks/train set and animals. I set up the train set for the class prior so it was ready to go for them. Jackson was back so he helped us to review our letters and signs that we have learned this year. Circle time was like our routine each day- Rise and Shine song, Pledge, calendar time-date, counting (English up to 30, Spanish up to 19 and tens to 100), Days of the week and Macarena months songs, and weather time. We also reviewed the word “and” and practiced the letter “U” after we alphabet boogied. We had our wiggle song, ate our fun snacks and then checked out our books. Jackson shared his show and tell and then we prepared for lesson time.
Today our lesson was on taking turns. We first talked about what places and times that we have taken turns. Sometimes it is easy and sometimes it is hard to take turns. I read a few stories to demonstrate this skill. The first book was “Share and take turns” which had some great ideas and ways to take turns and share with our friends. I also read “Bear in the Big Blue House-Two can share, too” book. This book was creative in the ways the friends took turns with their toys that are special to them. We discussed the books and realized the importance of taking turns with others- this class is really good at taking turns but it always good to review these skills.
For some additional practice, we did a number review activity where each child was given 4 bean bags and they had to toss them to the number that I would tell them. We also did this with some of the sight words we have learned. They really liked tossing the bean bags. 
For letter review, we practiced our song and sign for the letter “U” then each child completed their “U” page- creating an umbrella with dot to dot up to 12 and then coloring Unger Unicorn on the back of the worksheet. As they were completing this activity, I reviewed the sounds with each child as I stamped their hand.
