At table time, we practiced the letter “V” again and stamped our letters in violet. Upstairs, we played with little legos, links and babies. I was bringing the students one at a time to practice printing the number 5 and then they had a coloring activity at the bottom of the page.
Once we completed that activity, we cleaned up and had circle time. We counted up to 5 in Spanish- learning that five is cinco in Spanish. After snack time, I had the class some over and we looked at Sally’s binder in AM class.
For instruction time, we sang 5 little pumpkins song and then I sang 5 green and speckled frogs with my frog puppet. We counted all the way up to 5 again in English and Spanish. We also sang the numeral song- practicing our numbers in the air with the song. I had the kids practice making a five on the whiteboards and we sang the song- “Down, around and put on a hat”. For table time, we colored a gingerbread man and a bird then put 5 buttons on the gingerbread man and glued on 5 worms for the bird.
I also practiced some math problems with using the kids- putting them in a group of 2 and one in three. Then we had to count all of our friends together.
For letter time, we decorated our vases- we will add flowers Monday. We also colored our handprints like a turkey for our Brown Turkey books.
We practiced our sound and sign for the letter V and I gave them little v on their hands.
