Thurs Oct 13- #2 day

We practiced our scissor skills downstairs and upstairs we played with food, magnetic letters and nuts and bolts. I took each child aside to practice the number 2. Jax helped with our circle time activities and after snacks we took a look at his show and tell and the rest of his binder. We practiced Jack & Jill nursery rhyme and each child colored their own puppets to practice the song at home. For number 2 time, we looked at Kitten and her jar poster. She had two apples in hers. We counted in Spanish up to 2, sang our numeral song practicing our numbers in the air and counted the parts on our bodies that come in twos. I also read the number 2 poem talking about a bird’s 2 wings. At the table, we put 2 footballs in our jar to go along with the season. We practiced again with scissors as we cut out our 2 balls for our worksheets after we colored and then glued them on. For “E” time, I read about Emily Elizabeth from the Clifford series- Halloween Howl. We also got a stamp of the lowercase e and we practiced our E song with the two sounds of E- e as in eat and e as in elephant.
