Fri Oct 21- #3 day

Downstairs we had practiced the letter C- upper and lower case and upstairs, I decided to let the kids play with my costumes, duplos and Halloween patterns during play time. During this time, I pulled each child aside to work on the number 3 and they found 3 birds that were the same and colored them. This one is not as easy as others we have learned so far. Rome helped with our circle time responsibilities and we had a fun snack of candy corn rice crispie cupcakes. Great idea for the letter C Quincey! Rome shared his show and tell and I finished his binder and then we did a wiggle song- Spooky Loo because we were full of wiggles! For the number 3, we learned three in Spanish- tres. We also sang our numeral song and practiced our numbers in the air. For our art, we dot stamped three apples on a tree and gave a seal three balls to balance. For letter C time, we started with practicing the two sounds of C as well as the sign. I read a few stories- If you give a cat a cupcake and Clifford’s Pumpkin Patch Puppy. Then the class went over to complete their letter friend- C Caterpillar. After we finished that, we read the Hungry Little Caterpillar. I stamped the little c on each child’s hand as we practiced the sounds of the letter together. We were done with another great week! AM Class
