Wed Oct 19- Opposites: fast and slow

The class started the day with scissor practice downstairs and then they played with tinker toys and little people upstairs. For opposites time, we sang the opposites song and then we talked about thing that are fast and things that as slow. The class made a chart of animals that either fast or slow- each child contributing an animal to the list. I also introduced the class to two new songs- the Freeze dance and the listen and move dance. They loved this dance time and it was a great time to work on our large motor skills. For C time, I wanted to change things up and we did watercolor painting on circles. The kids were very creative and colorful in their art and it was also a chance to work on our fine motor skills. We also read Curious George and the costume party. I sent the normal C worksheet home for fun- Callie Cat and coloring cars. AM Class
