Thurs the 5th- #6

We practiced our names and then upstairs we played with babies, puzzles and beads. I took each child aside to practice tracing the number 6. During calendar time, we counted to 15 and practiced our blastoff counting. After a yummy snack and show and tell, we did our monthly all about me page. We then talked and practiced the number six. I taught the class that six in Spanish is “seis” and we counted up to six in Spanish. We sang our numeral song making the numbers in the air and read our number 6 poem about 6 legged bugs. At the table we finished our number 6 page by putting six race car stickers in the jar. We also colored a six cookies page. Each child glued six “cookies” for our friends on the worksheet. For letter time, we reviewed the letters we have learned- A through L and then we read a class favorite book- Scooby Doo!
